Ep. 41 - Barely a Ped

Finished Items:
Jill finished the other four items for her Indie Designer Giftalong Opadoo!  She crocheted the Heavenly Lemon shawl by Elena Madsen out of a Chinese fingering weight wool.  Her Rav page here.  She finished the Aumangea Pullover by Francoise Danoy out of Cloudborn Fibers Superwash Merino Worsted Twist in Grey Heather and Scarlet.  Her Rav page here.  She made a Maurice cowl by Lee Meredith out of Malabrigo Twist in Zinc and Noro Kureyon #170.  She did the medium, wide size and changed the order of the stripes to use the most of the skein of Kureyon.  The Rav page here.  Her last GAL project was Mosaic Slippers by CraftArella using Paton's Classic Wool in Plum Heather and a natural color.  Rav page here.

Our Current Fix:
Michele made huge progress on her baby blanket, using the Diagonal Comfort Blanket pattern out of Red Heart with Love in Boysenberry.
Jill has resumed work on the Brunswick shawl by Mindy Wilkes using Wolle's Color Changing Cotton in the 150g ball in Lifesaver Medley.  She is also working on Shark Bite by Lara Smoot out of Cloudborn Fibers Wool Fingering Twist in Grey and blue, plus other scraps.

What We're Jonesing For:
Michele is feeling forced into make the Hadley Button Slouch Hat by Justine Walley for someone she barely knows.
Jill likes the Yin Yang Kitty Ankle Socks by Geena Garcia, Little-Eyes booties by Inma Gijon and the Pineapple Hat by Emily Dormier.  She also loves the Winter Petrichor sweater by Bristol Ivy.

Ep. 38 - Happy Kwanzaa 2020

Here's episode 38 at long last!  This was recorded right after the presidential election.  If you'd rather not relive that, you can skip this episode, or stop listening around 30 minutes in.

Finished Items:
Jill finished a blanket square from the Orange Quarter Quilt pattern by Eva Marie Niles out of Filatura Di Crosa Zara Plus in a forest green color.  She also finished her On the Spice Market shawl by Melanie Berg.  She used Leading Men Fiber Arts Showcase in Barbie's Nighty, a Woolbearers gradient kit in Golds and Frabjous Fibers Chesire Cat in Tulgey Wood.  Her Rav page here.

Our Current Fix:
Michele has picked up her Garter Squish by Stephen West again!  She is using Berocco Vintage in a tan brown color plus Vanna's Choice leftovers as the contrast.
Jill is working on Brunswick by Mindy Wilkes out of Wolle's Color Changing Cotton 150 gram skein in Lifesaver Medley.  She did a lot of swatching for her Imitation Game inspired cardigan but has put it aside for now.

What We're Jonesing For:
Michele is looking at a bunch of baby blankets including the Sprout Blanket by Hanna Breetz, the Hudson Bay Inspired Crib Blanket by Purl SoHo and the Windy City Baby by Julie Blagojevich.
She also is going to cast-on a Melanie Berg pattern, either Perhaps, Perhaps or 5190 Miles (gift from dimsumdumpling)
Jill is loving the Fargo Pullover by Sheila Toy Stromberg.  She took advantage of the Knitters Pay It Forward movement and got the Oliver Toque by Sarah B. Abram and the Soundbreaker Shawl by Christopher Salas.  She was gifted The Miller's Daughter shawl by Melanie Berg by Gen, and given Ondawa by Michelle Wang and Kontrastne by Anna Kuduja by Melinda of the Yarnderwoman podcast.

Re-Up:
Jill was gifted Norah Gaughan's Knitted Cable Sourcebook (and really wants to make the Cloche from it).  She also got a skein of Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles in Potluck and a pulse warmer kit from her Mom's trip to Amsterdam.
