Ep. 34 - Welcome Back...

It's a long one today.  We apologize for all the background noise.  We'll have to close the windows next time around!

Our Current Fix:
Michele is trying to wrestle her Rikke hat WiP out of Marigold Jen DK.
Jill finished her Inara Wrap by Ambah O'Brien in Artyarns Milano Fade.  She also finished her BB-8 amigurumi, using BB-8 inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens by Casey Barnes out of Red Heart Super Saver in White, Grey Heather and Cascade 220 in orange.  She did a few rows on her Banded Lace Pullover by Traci Bunkers.  She is frantically working on her Amille shawl by Emily Ross in Tosh Lace Oceana for the Ravellenic Games. Her project page here.

What We're Jonesing For:
Michele has rediscovered the Pterotactyl shawl by Marc Smollin.  She likes the Welcome Back Garter stole by Casapinka.  She found an edging modification to the Half Granny Square Shawl by Anastacia Zittel that made her want to make another one (can't find the mod to link!).  A similar pattern is the Wearever Wrap by Heather Walpole.
Jill is looking through her Joji Locatelli patterns for the Joji Fall KAL starting August 15.  She could knit Recoleta, Imagine When or Fine Tune.  She has a couple new favorite shawl patterns: the Rookwood by Mindy Wilkes and the Good Vibes shawl by Nadia Cretin-Lechenne.  There's a cute, giant, free scrubby pattern, the School of Fish Scrubbies by Michele Wilcox.

Ep. 32 - Talk Gooey to Me

Our Current Fix:
Michele has started her Rikke hat in MarigoldJen DK Weight BFL (her Rav page here). Michele used a video from Knittables (Knitabulls?) about garter stitch in the round.  Jill couldn't find it to link here, so here's a different tutorial.
Jill finished her newborn Aviatrix hat by Justine Turner in Nerd Girl Yarns Clever (her project page here).  She is still working on the #15 Banded Lace Pullover by Traci Bunkers from Vogue Spring/Summer 2016 in Cascade Avalon.  She is 30% through her Inara Wrap by Ambah O'Brien out of two Artyarns Milano Fade gradients in Hematite Fade and Malachite Fade.

What We're Jonesing For:
Michele is into the 3-in-1 sweater and  the Stripes with a Twist pattern, both by atelier alfa.  Michele also likes the Gunmetal Shawlette by Mam'zelle Flo (which reminds Jill of patterns by busylittlemonkey) and A Little of This, a Little of That crocheted shawl by Teri DiLibero.
Jill has bought some Ysolda Teague patterns: Wee Carson and the Rhinebeck Sweater book.  She wants to make Pumpkin Ale, Aunt Fred and Jenny at the Fair.  She also like the Manatee pattern by Rachel Borello Carroll.  Also check out her other Yarnigans patterns, including the Dutch Rabbits and Marisol the Knitted Mouse.

Jill finished a Striped Elf Hat by Anna Daku using Lang Mille Colori in fluorescent colors.

Our Current Fix:
Jill was just casting on an Aviatrix baby hat by Justine Turner in her leftover Nerd Girl yarn.  She has been consistently working on her Sophie's Universe by Dedri Uys in Knit Picks Brava.  She is partway through a summer top, the #15 Banded Lace Pullover by Traci Bunkers from the Vogue Spring/Summer 2016 in Cascade Avalon in a light blue color.
Michele is still working on her baby blanket out of Red Heart with Love. The pattern is the Crocheted Starburst Baby Blanket.

Our Current Fix:
Michele is deciding to rip out her Arrowhead Socks by Renee Leverington in MarigoldJen DK Weight yarn in the Pascal colorway, because she'd rather make the Cowlicious by Nicole Vaughn or the Rikke Hat.  She is getting to the end of her Clincher out of Spun Right Round in Trainyard and Knit Picks Stroll Brights in Pucker (her rav page here).  She is also crocheting a washcloth out of Peaches and Cream cotton yarn in Fruit Punch and the Easy Crocheted Dishcloth pattern by Cheri Mancini.

She also started spinning some natural dyed wool to potentially make an Elizabeth Zimmerman Fair Isle Yoked Caridgan, while demonstrating at the Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles.

What We're Jonesing For:
Michele is loving a couple non-Ravelry items. One is the Angus the Crocheted Gnome on pinterest (aka Cute Crochet Gnome by Amber Simmons on Ravelry), and also the Charlotte Split Brim Slouchy Hat by pixiebell.

Michele has cast on a Tyson hat by Robyn Devine out of Red Heart Super Saver Team Spirit in Orange and Black.
Jill's in-progress projects include the Sweet Pea cardigan by Mary Scott Huff in Knit Picks Comfy Worsted in Peapod, an Eliot-the-Elephant Baby Bib by Justyna Kacprzak in KP Comfy Sport in Sea Foam, and some spinning of Malabrigo Nube fiber in the colorway Candombe.

Ep.23 - Singlehood Awareness Day

Our Current Fix:
Michele is still working on her Celtic Cable Beanie.
Jill finished her Alinta Wrap by Ambah O'Brien.  Her Rav page is here.

She used Knit Picks Capretta, Shibui Sock and Decadently Divine Divine Sock.  She's started Kernel by Bonnie Sennot from Knitty, Fall 2009 in Koigu KPPM.  She started crocheting a bunny using the french pattern Valentin by Anisbee Anisbee out of Caron Simply Soft in Cool Green.  She is also knitting the Sweet Pea cardigan by Mary Scott Huff in Knit Picks Comfy Worsted in Peapod.

What We're Jonesing For:
Michele has been obsessed with mandalas.  She likes the ones by CAROcreated Design, her favorites being Overlay Mandala No. 6, Overlay Mandala No. 5, the Coaster in Overlay Crochet and also the Case in Overlay Crochet.
Jill wants to cast on the Kumara Cowl by Francoise Danoy.  She will probably start the Maile Cardigan by Nikki Van de Car as one of the many baby presents she needs.  Michele saw Nikki Van de Car's Baby Cozy and might make it.  Jill went to a lecture/reception for Stephen West and Steven Be at the Knitting Tree LA.  She is now pretty into Parachutey, but likely won't actually knit it.
