My guest on the podcast today is Annie! You can find her podcast on YouTube as Petite Weaver Crafts, and she is on Ravelry and Instagram as petiteweaver.
What We've Finished:
Annie and Jill both finished a pair of the Evil Eve Gloves by Kat Coyle, coordinated by Krista Suh for the March for Our Lives. They both used Kensington HiKoo yarn that was given out by Maker's Mercantile and Karin Skacel. Jill also finished her Fish Lips Kiss Heel socks out of Regia Arne & Carlos design line yarn.
Our Current Fix:
Annie is working on The Weekender pullover by Andrea Mowry out of Miss Babs Yowza. Her Rav page here. She is also knitting on a Sophie cardigan by Jennifer Wood out of Brooklyn Tweed Arbor in Hammock. Her Rav page here. She is also knitting a pair of vanilla socks out of Must Stash yarn in Apple Picking. Annie started her Tula Nova quilt kit which is an English Paper Piecing kit using Tula Pink fabrics.
Jill is working on Sizzle Pop by Lesley Ann Robinson out of Hula Hut Yarns Tiki Sock in Huckleberry Chuckle and Midnight. Her Rav page here. Jill also did a little bit of spinning, using some small batts from Mork Made Fiber Co. She is also swatching Conifer by Ella Austin and Wee Carson by Ysolda Teague using Knit Picks Hawthorne in Graffiti Speckle, Knit Picks Essential Bordeaux and Koigu.
What We've Jonesing For:
Annie has swatched for the Zweig sweater by Caitlin Hunter. She is also spinning yarn for a Cullen by Elizabeth Doherty. She likes the Beaufort Sweater by Mary Anne Bennedetto from the new knit.wear Spring/Summer 2018.
Jill likes Bolan by Leila Raabe, designed for Quince & Co. She likes the Butterfly/Papillon shawl by Marin Melchior. She was inspired by some KALs using Urth Uneek yarn. Jill is maybe back into knitting socks and has queued the Escape Reality socks by Lisa K. Ross from Knitty Spring/Summer 2018. We also discuss the Embrace Octopus Sweater by Maia E. Sirnes

Ep. 64 - Stitches Recap
My Current Fix:
Jill was disappointed to realize that her Imitation Game sweater out of Knit Picks Palette was coming out way too big. She put it away to work on her Fish Lips Kiss Heel socks out of Regia 4-ply Design Line by Arne and Carlos. She made them shortie socks and used the rounded toe from the Rose City Rollers pattern. These are for the 2KnitLitChicks Never-Have-I-Ever sock KAL. She also started the Sizzle Pop shawl by Lesley Ann Robinson out of Hula Hut Tiki Sock yarn in the colorways Huckleberry Chuckle and Midnight.
What I'm Jonesing For:
Jill bought the pattern for Archer by Elizabeth Doherty. She'll use her skein of Forbidden Fiber Co Pride fingering in Mist with maybe a couple skeins of Color Notes Yarn Twinkle in Turquoise Strata or The Plucky Knitter Solo in Under the Sea. She got a free kit from Skacel to make a pair of Evil Eye Gloves out of Kensington HiKoo for the March For Our Lives on March 24. The pattern is the brainchild of Krista Suh and Kat Coyle. Jill bought a kit from Spincycle Yarns for the Fixation hat by Ann Weaver. The shawl for her sister may end up using the Tiong Bahru pattern by Asa Tricosa using Blue Moon Fiber Arts Marine Lace in Every Day Gray. She is also into a couple Kate Davies patterns including the Carbeth Cardigan and the Betty Mouat Cowl.
Other Re-ups include: Miss Babs, Western Sky Knits, Havirland Pax Sock from The Altered Stitch, Junkyarn, Knit Picks and Wool Buddy. Jill bought a necklace from Brittany (yarnbob) who has a shop at Fiber and Flame. She was helping at the Abundant Earth Fiber booth who had all of their merchandise stolen. Go order some yarn!

Ep. 63 - Insane Palette Stash
A bit of a short one today!
Jill finished the Zweig sweater by Caitlin Hunter using Malabrigo Sock in Persia and Pearl colorways. Her Rav page is here.
My Current Fix:
Jill's only current project is her Ravellenic Games project, a copy of the sweater that Keira Knightley wore in Imitation Game using Knit Picks Palette in Almond, Grass, Bark and Brindle Heather. She first tried to use the Mesmeric Cardigan pattern by Katy Banks but her colors didn't work in that colorwork pattern. Her Rav page here.
What I'm Jonesing For:
Jill is thinking about making some socks for the 2KnitLitChicks' Never Have I Ever Sock KAL, maybe using the Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Sox Therapist and the Rose City Rollers pattern by Mara Catherine Bryner. A few shawls that Jill likes are the Breezy Wrap by Sachiko Uemura, Rose Plank by Monika Sirna and Dark Valentine by Ambah O'Brien. She likes the amigurumi Chinese New Year Dog by Stephanie Jessica Lau. She bought the Balsam Ridge pullover by Melissa Schaschwary.
She also wants to find a project to use a full skein of sock yarn and some speckled minis from Fish Knits Yarn.

Ep. 62 - Building Blocks of Fashion
Joining Jill for this episode is Ellen! Ellen is Ellblo on Ravelry and Instagram. You should check out her blog L.A. Is My Beat!
Finished projects:
Ellen got to show off her Belle Epoque Shawl by Kira Dulaney. She used MadelineTosh Merino Light in Grasshopper from her friend Natalie and then added a burgundy color, Medieval of the Merino Light for the edging. Her Rav page here. She also added the same edging from the Belle Epoque, to a crochet shawl she had made in the past using the Klamath pattern by Sarah Kukuchek. The original shawl was in Berroco Boboli yarn and the edging is in a bright orange Shibui Lace Weight yarn. Ellen made a wonderful version of the G.G. Cardigan by Nadia Fuad that was inspired by a $2,800 granny square coat by Rosetta Getty worn by Gigi Hadid. Her Rav page here.
Ellen likes to combine knitting and crochet. She uses a top-down formula, similar to the February Lady Sweater by Pamela Wynn and then crochets the body and sleeves. An example is her Noro-Brigo Cardigan. She made a great cover for her ukulele strap out of crochet!
Jill finished some crochet baby booties using the Hammerhead Sharks booties pattern by Kristi Simpson. She used some RYC DK superwash yarn and Knit Picks Stroll Sport in white. Her Rav page here. Jill also finished spinning some Merino/Silk/Bamboo from BJS Fiber Creations in a fall colorway.
Our Current Fix:
Jill is only working on her Zweig sweater by Caitlin Hunter out of Malabrigo Sock in Persia and Pearl. She is hoping to finish before the Olympics start! Her Rav page is here.
Ellen is crocheting another Virus Shawl. This one is using Trendsetter Yarns "Smoothies" It is a gradient yarn but it is challenging to crochet with because of the multiple untwisted strands. Her Rav page here.
What We're Jonesing For:
Jill is into the Saltwater Bay cardigan by Amy Christoffers from Knitty, Winter 2017. She thinks the Owlentines by Rachel Borello Carroll is cute and timely for Valentine's Day. Since we're talking crochet, she recently queued The Adirondack Wrap by ChiWei Ranck.
Ellen has a Valentine's project in mind as well, the A Hearty Hello Shawl by Fionitta.com, a triangular shawl in filet-crochet. She also likes the Ribbie Taiyo Scarf by Megan Delorme. She is also inspired by a picture of an amazing crochet top with a giant eyeball across the front and granny stripes.

Her Rav page is here. She also made two little hat ornaments using the Icy Seas pattern by Hunter Hammersen. She used some leftover Knit Picks Stroll in Wonderland for those.
My Current Fix:
Jill is working on the Wake shawl by Kephren Pritchett in Frabjous Fiber Wonderland Chesire yarn in Shillings & Pence. She is debating whether to keep knitting and make the medium or just finish at the small size. She is also plugging away at the 3-in-1 Button Boots by Bekah Knits. She's using Tahki Donegal Tweed in an oatmeal color and Lamb's Pride Worsted in Ink Blue for the soles. She's also just started the Summer Into Fall baby dress by Lisa Chemery.
